Last spring, Bluey told me that she was reading the first Harry Potter book. I promised once she finished all seven, we’d celebrate with a trip to Universal City to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

A few weeks ago, she turned the last page of the series — and today, she and Tabby flew down to Southern California for our magical day at Hogwarts (and the rest of the park, of course).

Some of the rides were a bit intense for Bluey, but she was a pretty good sport. We had a wonderful time exploring the different lands, taking the studio tour and catching the WaterWorld show.

It was a quick trip and a busy day, but full of fun — and a well-earned reward for an impressive accomplishment.
