Kinderhook, New York

One of the biggest snowstorms ever was blasting New York City, Boston and the coastal regions today, but the snowfall was surprisingly light in and near Albany. So Lisa and I headed over to Kinderhook, a very cute and very old village (chartered as a township in 1687) she has discovered with a great brunch restaurant called Morningbird. Later, I found a walking tour of the town that would be fun to do sometime - but not when it "feels like -12 degrees" outside
